I dont think the sword saint will get his hands on Magatsumi, It'd be the end for everyone. But I still can see him killing Samura, even with just a regular sword.
Let's not forget that even if he has no sorcery because of the eternal contract, he can still use spirit energy, as we've seen Samura and Uruha do with IWPS, that requires it to function. The way he's been hyped, I feel he'd at least match Samura with Tobimune.

I think something goes wrong once they get to Tokyo and we’re forced into an actual training arc. Not only for Chihiro but Hikuri and Iori as well. I’m hoping she becomes one of the “core fighters” as well. Probably a shot in the dark but one can only hope.

19:15 here, maybe the cell or the prison wasn't built for the sword saint, and any other organism or monster might have been imprisoned, or they were planning to do so. Don't tell me that Kamunabi just built in span of few day to imprison sword saint and how do they even control him for that long without imprisoning him and sealing the shinuchi so I think the prison was already prebuilt and maybe used for other purposes also. (and everything I said might be overthinking).

Why would kamunabi keep the sword master and magatsumi in the same place (though the floors may be different). Even though shinuchi is sealed thats another fumble from kamunabi.
I hope we get to see samura using suzaku on chihiro nonstop so that we can see a deku vs overhaul type fight. Where chihiro, like in his fight with sojo, multiplies his output without risking death, keeping it on for minutes, not seconds

As sweet and bitter, the interaction was between samura and iori, it just raised the already high death flags for samura even higher especially since mr maldiection has finally awoken from his "proverbial sleep" near the end of the chapter.
I reckon the Sword Master will be freed but not get the Shinuichi. He'll fight Chihiro and Samura with a normal sword and annihilate them both, probably killing Samura
This chapter is spectacular. I hope the next chapter will be cinematic action in Kamunabi Headquarters. Because for 18 years, the Sword Saint will rise again thru the ashes.

All this time i thought that "Magatsumi" was the Shinuchis name but what if "Magatsumi" is simply the command for the Malediction? It would make sense for the Sword Master to use part of the Maledictions power to receive Spirit Energy through the flowers, while the sword was partly unsealed during the Rakuzaichi. That would explain, why the Sword Master muttered "Magatsumi" during the fight with Kyora. Yura seems to know this too, as he emphasized, how the Shinuchis flowers are still blooming today. This would also explain, how exactly Yura and the Sword Master are working together. What if Yura unsealed the Shinuchi during the Rakuzaichi, so that the Sword Master could power back up? If we take this theory as truth it also makes sense, how the Sword Master knows about the Hishakus attack on the Kamunabi and about the time "being nigh".

I think the sword saint is definitely a human, I think he’s much more closely connected to kunishige then we think as well. When we first saw them I thought he looked like a woman, so I first assumed maybe it was a lover or sister of kunishige, but obviously we now know it’s a man. I think there’s a chance the sword saint is related to kunishige tho, a relative, brother maybe, or at least someone who kunishige grew up with. Because we know shiba and azami have been friends with kunishige at the very least since they were teenagers so this person has to be even closer to kunishige then his 2 best childhood friends.. so I say again, maybe a brother, real or adopted or someone he grew up with in their childhood? Idk I don’t they’re from the island tho and I think the “organism” comment was just to show that the barrier works as “life support” for any living thing not just people.
The theory about 1 more offensive and one support blade confirmed. I am going to go out on a limb and assume the sushi guy has the other attack type EB for how they are positioned in the double spread.
