well, if I hadn’t seen the anime, I think I would have been really confused ^.^; they didn’t really explain much of anything and all the plot points felt pretty shallow. If I didn’t already see the story and love it, I don’t think I would have felt much of anything for our protagonists. We didn’t really get to feel all the struggle Miyo went through while living with her ‘family’, or Kiyoka slowly discovering about her past and all the little things he does to make Miyo feel special and important, and even Miyo’s struggle to find her self-worth and confidence was pretty much missing. But I still enjoyed the story and I didn’t mind the little plot points that they did change (even if they didn’t explain like…literally anything XD like how was everyone able to slice the infected without killing them just cause Miyo went into what I can only assume from the anime was the dream world? ) and I did love Kiyoka’s hair, plus I mean, it’s Meguro Ren so…what’s not to like!

Also, eff the Usuba family, they left Miyo alone to be neglected and abused until she started showing powers, yet they have the balls to claim her as theirs. Ya’ll can just BLEEP off XD
