DISCLAIMER! ~ I made a comment about the Calypso sweater and how the pattern calls for a significantly smaller needle size to do the ribbing. They did that originally because the original pattern uses a picot edge, which would account for the significantly smaller needle. I didn’t want it to sound like I was faulting the pattern in anyway! I chose a different hem, and so as you will hear, had a little bit of difficulty with the fit and using the recommended needles in the pattern 😀
HELLO! Thank you so much for coming back, I’m so happy you are here 🙂 My name is Charlotte and I am a knitter, aspiring seamstress and lover of ALL things handmade. Here to capture my making journey, and preserve a small piece of this amazing hobby 🙂 I hope you are having a great day, and that you enjoy. Also, leave comments if you’d like to hear about other things beyond just what I’ve been working on. I’m happy to try and expand to learn new things by branching out into maybe some other things that you all would like to see 🙂

Bonjour de France, vous faites tres jolis models, bravo.🖐️🌹
Lovely work! I appreciate your honest appraisal of yarns.
Love your channel! I’m flying to Seattle next weekend, any recommendations for places to go? Yarn shops for sure or any cute eateries?
Thank you for making these videos. I enjoy your style and intellect. I too crave connection through the knitting community, but at a distance. Control is my middle name. 😂💗💗💗💗
I really enjoy listening to you on how you modify the garment to fit you. how you added to the vest to make it work for you. I so agree with you make it work for you, take the time to rip it out if your not happy . Thanks for your honest opinion on yarns. I love the jill draper yarns I have a sweater on the needles now with that yarn I need to finish Love the idea of toning down some of her colors with a surrey (my choice vs mohair). Thanks again hope the weather cools down quickly
Thank you for your fun and honest podcast 😍 I really like your style! I’m Icelandic living in Sweden and it has been sweaterweather the whole summer 😅 I’m in a knitting grubb and we meet and knit and drink litle bit bubbly 😍🥂🧶
Bonjour de France, vous faites tres jolis models, bravo.️. Lovely work! I appreciate your honest appraisal of yarns..
I agree with your direction to use the green for a more simplistic design. That will leverage (celebrate) the subtle color variations you are now getting with the combined suri/variegated wool. For the test cabled sweater, where the architecture of the cables, with their increasing size, a more structured yarn would be more effective.
Love your knits. Thanks for podcasting.
Really enjoying your channel. Love, love, love your calypso sweater! Lucky you with temperatures in the 80s, we're still triple digit heat here in Texas, yesterday it was 109! By the way, I do enjoy your input about yarns and patterns. Hang in there, I have no knitting friends locally, so I am very happy to have my online friends.
I appreciate your thoughts on the Calypso. I'll be knitting it sometime soon 😊
Enjoying your podcasts. I am an Oregonian living in TN now. Also alone as I pick up my knitting again, but that is okay as an introvert! I do like my podcasts, especially as there are no shops etc close to us. I like the information you share and modifications, as well as the idea of patterns as a method of learning…sweet. Be blessed and keep cool best you can in this heat wave.
I’m loving your podcast! Keep it up. I love watching you try new things – and, most importantly, keep the focus on the making! Great work!
Also, I loved your Flock walk through too – so neat.
I also don't have any friends in my circle that craft like I do, so I feel you there! Thanks for putting ths content out. It's nice to know there are other people out there who can go deep on details of fiber and fabric characteristics 🙂
I Think You Bought That Whidbey Because Of Whidbey Island 😅 Hilariously Tahki Yarns Is Based In Mass. I Really Love This Pod… I Got A Haircut After We Conversed. My Hair Is Obnoxiously Curly So It's… Unique😂
WOW I really love this video. I like how honest you are with the yarn and the changes your are making to suit your patterns. I am not a knitter, I use to be. My wrists are bad. I found the Diamond Dots art is so much better for me. I love watching you. I get a very calm energy from you. Thank you so much for sharing. Love and Blessings to you. Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
Thanks for sharing your tips with us. Enjoying your channel ❤
Great podcast! Keep going!
Charlotte, your process is so interesting, that just hearing you talk about what you’re doing is ‘helpful’. 😉 So, just being yourself is enjoyable to those of us out here in knitty YT land. Love that you and your mom are doing a project together! Can’t wait to the finished projects!
Your intellectual musings and ponderings interspersed with your knitting is so lovely. Just generally, you are very relatable. I needed that ‘rip it out and start over’ encouragement, as I’m jet starting to realize those possibilities myself. You’ve become one of my new favs, a knitcast I look forward to. 😁🤓🧶💚☕️ Thanks for putting yourself out there, sharing and taking the time!
I really enjoy your podcast Charlotte. I am 100% with you regarding your thoughts on your last dreaming project: simple pattern with beautiful combined yarns will be gorgeous.
I’ve been watching you and have to say that I appreciate that you’re also providing some critique of things you find (price/yarn). I sort of feel like many of the knitting podcasts are gushing over everything. While I recognize many of them are also at the same time ‘selling’ us. I really appreciate an honest opinion. I also am not part of a physical knitting community so it’s nice to see what others are knitting. Thanks for sharing!
