Season 2 was also very rushed, story and animation both. They turned a huge arc into 12 episodes, animation was mid, because they had to condense so much the new characters lacked the development needed and so on

Shield hero loses its edge after the second episode mostly. The most interesting thing about the show was, how would a hero deal with a r*pe allegation in a fantasy world. Unfortunately, it’s almost immediately swept under the rug after first and second episode. Yes, people still give him dirty looks but that’s more for political/religious reasons not because of the alligation itself.
What i like about Cid is because of his Chuunibyo antics in his Shadow persona he actually looks and acts badass all the time, especially his one liners like when he said "You're not attacking? 'Future Rounds' " to zenon.
