  1. It’s mentioned in the LNs that fellow 86ers hated Shin because he was pretty much the embodiment of death. If the Reaper joined your squad, it was basically a sign ya’ll are dying. Some committing suicide when they resonated with him, or never resonating again after connecting, forgoing Shin’s protection and dying regardless. The only other one being able to survive being Raiden.

Furthermore, he was also discriminated because of his hair and eye colour. It was evident he possessed blood of the old Empire’s nobility; the ones that created the Legion. All in all, Shin truly believes the reason his parents, brother and comrades die is because of him. And that’s just a very deep hole of survivors guilt.

  2. Dang man i don't think you are getting the message of what Shin has been trying to say. Try to listen more than talking. Fredrica and Raiden stated facts that are true, but the way Shin is, it goes beyond that. Moving on in life and having rainbows and sunshine is definitely the right move for him or anyone in general, but when it comes down to more than 500 dead comrades and having the same thing happen all over again multiple times with him as the last survivor, its no wonder why hes like that. "He needs to move on" for him is moving onto death. Also the show made many hints that he thinks Lena is dead after he entrusted her to remember them… That was the last straw for him. You definitely saw it in episode 17 and you have to put the pieces of the puzzle together without the anime telling you.
