御嶽山を霊峰と仰ぎ称え、文武天皇の御代大宝２年（702年）信濃国司高 根道基により頂上奥社が創建されました。
日本各地の霊山は、御嶽と書いて「みたけ」と呼称していましたが、木曽の御嶽（きそのみたけ）は富士山に次ぐ独立峰としては
2番目の高さを誇り、秀麗な霊峰であることから「王の御嶽（おうのみたけ）」と呼ばれ、
室町時代の山神名は「王御嶽座王権現」でありました。室町時代中期以降には、「王」の字を略して「御嶽」と書き
「おおのたけ」「おのたけ」「おんたけ」と呼ばれるようになりました。
光仁天皇の宝亀５年（744年）信濃国司石川朝臣望足が勅命を奉じ頂上奥社に登山し悪疫退散を祈願され、
延長３年（925年）には、白川少将重頼が登山し 神殿を再建。
応保元年（1.161年）には、後白河上皇の勅使が登山参拝されました。
御嶽山の一合目に鎮座する里宮社は文明１６年（1.,84年）再建、文亀３年（1,503 年）再興と記録にあります。

In 1997, I was ordained as a disciple of Denpo Dai-Ajari (伝法大阿闍梨) at Koyasan Shingon Sect’s then Director Inaba-sama’s Koyasan Shingon Sect’s head temple, Bekkaku Honzan (高野山総本山別格本山).

Since then, I have practiced asceticism in the mountains, in the fields, and in various other places, and have been practicing daily so that I can borrow the power to help others from the gods and Buddha.
Although my voice is still not very good at reading sutras, I am proud to say that my attitude of praying to the gods and Buddha is as good as anyone else’s.

Although I am still a novice, I have been practicing throughout Japan and have been exorcising people in various places.

Ontake was revered as a sacred mountain, and in 702, during the reign of Emperor Monmu (701-828), the head priest of the Shinano Province, Takane Michimoto, built a shrine at the top of the mountain.
Sacred mountains throughout Japan were called “Mitake,” but Kiso no Mitake is the second tallest independent peak after Mt.
Fuji, and is called “Oh-no-mitake” because it is the second tallest and most splendid sacred mountain,
In the Muromachi period (1336-1573), the name of the mountain deity was “Oh-no-Mitake-za-O-no-O-gongen. After the mid-Muromachi period, the character for “king” was abbreviated to “ontake” and the name was changed to “Oh-no-Take” or “Ono-no-Take”.
The name “Onotake” came to be called “Onotake,” “Onotake,” or “Ontake.
In 744, the fifth year of Emperor Konin’s reign (744), Ishikawa Asaomi Mochitoku, the chief of Shinano Province, climbed up to the peak of the mountain and prayed to the deity to drive away evil spirits,
In 925, Shigeyori Shirakawa, the Shogun of Shirakawa, climbed the mountain and rebuilt the shrine.
In the first year of Oho (1.161), an imperial envoy of the Emperor Go-Shirakawa visited the mountain.
Ontake, was rebuilt in the 16th year of Bunmei (1.84) and rebuilt in the 3rd year of Bunki (1.503).
Ontake, people used to ascend the mountain after performing ascetic ascetic ascetic practices for 100 days at the foot of the mountain,
Ontake, a Kakumei Gyoja built the Kurosawaguchi trail in the 2nd year of Temmei Era (1.782), and in the 4th year of Kansei Era (1.792), a Fugan Gyoja built the Ootaki-guchi trail.
Gyoja Fugan opened the Ootaki-guchi trail in 1,792, and established a kosha to encourage mountaineering with light devotion.
