    D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them. Directed by Eiichiro Hasumi (Assassination Classroom) from a screenplay by Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass). Based on Resident Evil, the hit survival-horror game that sold over 130 million copies worldwide, Death Island is a new CG animated film and sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is distributing the film worldwide excluding Japan Summer 2023.

      Its kind of messed up how many bystanders end up dying, but nothing will stop Chris from reuniting his darling sister Claire with Leon

      I wonder why they didn't use the updated character models and voices from the recent remakes for consistency? It's not like the games and animated movies are in separate universes. Or are they? 🤔

      Cleair is only here because resident evil fans are brainless trash nowadays I hope she does die in 9 get ready of the massively over hyped trash side character stupid gen z killed the series

      It seriously took them 25 years to make the original cast appear together? Wow.
      I WILL watch this movie, of course.
      But I have a few complaints.
      First of all, let's face it.
      Bio Hazard's animated movies were pretty… cheesy.
      Degeneration was ok, but forgettable. AND they changed Leon's face.
      Damnation was horrible.
      Vendetta was cool, the best one so far, but still forgettable.
      But:

      A) why don't Capcom simply creates THEIR OWN live action movie?
      Anderson butchered this franchise long enough.
      Yes, some ideas were cool, but overall Resident Evil's movies were a mess.

      B) WHY CAN'T CAPCOM NAIL THE APPEARANCE OF THEIR OWN CHARACTERS?
      Chris literally changes in EVERY INSTALLMENT, and Jill?
      Why are they using the fake ugly remake Jill?
      Instead of the perfect beautiful Gamecube one?
      Come on Capcom.

      How did I go a month without seeing this?!
      I love how this ties into Resident Evil 5 and Vendetta! Mentioning Jill's brainwashing. And Maria Gomez from Vendetta returning. I hope this film is just well received and enjoyable.

      It's very odd hearing Jill Valentine say my name! And the way she says it! 😅
      What? Jill I just want to cause a viral outbreak. It's not that bad!
