Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen criticized China on Tuesday for its three days of military drills, which saw aircraft and naval carriers practice various simulations of precision attacks and a blockade around the independent island nation. “This is not a responsible attitude for a major country in the region,” Tsai said in an address to the country.
The drills began after Tsai returned to the country from a visit abroad, which saw her meet U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, marking the first meeting by a Taiwan leader with a top U.S. official on American soil in decades. Beijing, which considers Taiwan as part of China, had resoundingly criticized the move by Tsai and had warned the U.S. not to allow her to meet with McCarthy or other officials.
Taiwanese residents expressed their concerns about avoiding war, though appeared unfazed by the drills. While those in Shanghai expressed mixed opinions on the drills, with some feeling new leadership in Taiwan that “promotes peace and development” in the Taiwan Strait could mean an end to the drills. Others, however, felt China should “not be too ruthless” to “compatriots.”
European Union and other nations’ leaders also expressed their concerns over the drills, with Japan’s defence minister calling the actions “intimidating training.”

Canada has diplomatic relations with China. at the same time, Canada recognizes that there is only one China in the world and Taiwan is part of China's territory.

Dumb Drones, China's leader like Putin has internal problems and vast economic issues with the world as far as credit is concerned. In the free world to get a loan you have to have collateral to secure loans. In a totalitarian or communist-style government, the dictator does what he wants. If the project fails the government executes a scapegoat and life goes on. China has a multi-trillion dollars credit crisis, and they have lost the ability to trade in US dollars. They are facing flooding and drought simultaneously due to the gross management of strategic infrastructure. China is making the same mistake Putin has already made. Putin had a fool as a puppet named Trump, Putin gambled that his puppet would get reelected to shield his expansionist ambitions. China has many highly paid spies in the American government just as the US government has many racist traitors to the UNITED STATES constitution on its payroll. NATO does not fear China, we all fear ww3. The end game is predictable for China. Xi like Putin wants to make history for the wrong reasons like all dictators they only care about themselves. To wage war you have to have fuel, the infrastructure to produce the raw materials to manufacture war munitions, and finally, the ability to feed your military while you wage war. Can the Chinese economy afford to wage war? NATO will allow China to hang itself, What would you do if you were Japan? China Is claiming 90% of the South China Sea that surrounds Japan. Finally, to avoid tremendous loss of life and a protracted war NATO will devastate China if they choose war which they will lose in a matter of few months. In the end, China will suffer the same faith of the old soviet union, China will separate into many independent democracies allowing India to be the top dog in Asia.
…which is more irresponsible?… inviting a far away foreign navy to conduct military exercise, or conducting same within and around your water!!!!
1) In 1894, Japan invaded China and Korea, the Qing gov was defeated and signed the [Treaty of Shimonoseki] to cede Taiwan Island to Japan.
2) During the WW2, at the Cairo Conference held in 1943, China asked the transfer of Taiwan's sovereignty back to China after the war. This content was included in the [Cairo Declaration] and later reiterated in the [Potsdam Proclamation] that it should be implemented.
3) On 14 Aug & 2 Sept 1945, the Emperor and govt of Japan issued the [End War Edict] and [Japanese Instrument of Surrender] , Japan surrendered and accepted the [Potsdam Proclamation]. The Japanese troops in Taiwan surrendered to KMT General CKS. Taiwan re-entered the territory of the Republic of China (ROC).
4) Soon after that China civil war broke out between KMT and CCP, the KMT was defeated and fled to Taiwan. However, due to US intervention, the CCP without strong navy at that time has no ability to unify Taiwan. The CCP then established the People's Republic of China (PRC) on 1949. The civil war continues…..
5) In 1971, UN Resolution No. 2758 ruled that the PRC had obtained the representation rights and all legal rights originally owned by the ROC in the UN. That means the PRC is China’s only legal govt under international law, and today the PRC also become China’s only legal govt recognized by 181 countries around the world, including the USA.

"The USA acknowledges the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China."

6) Therefore, according to international law, international reality, and the wishes of the 1.4 billion Chinese people, Taiwan should return to PRC and the PRC have every rights to protect it's sovereign integrity.

If they could make chips cheaper, they wouldn't go to the extent they do for a fake sence of protection. They've created a boogey-man 👻 so you can buy into their fake security.
