Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a game for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. The game is similar to Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. The 3DS version was released on December 10, 2011 in Japan as Monster Hunter Tri G and features local wireless play. In Japan, Famitsu announced that Monster Hunter Tri G was confirmed as an expanded Monster Hunter Tri. It is the first game to support the Circle Pad Pro add-on. The game was also released in two bundles, one containing the special edition 3DS and the other one containing the add-on. It was also released on Wii U which features revised HD graphics, full online, local multiplayer, and the ability to import the game progress to the player’s Nintendo 3DS. The Wii U port is known in Japan as Monster Hunter 3G HD Ver., and was released on December 8, 2012 when the Wii U launched in Japan, while the Nintendo 3DS version was re-released as a Nintendo eShop downloadable two days prior, featuring a slightly lower price than the retail re-release. It was announced that Tri G would be released in North America and Europe as Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and would be released in March 2013 together for both the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. Monster Hunter 4 for the 3DS was also announced, which originally scheduled to be released in Japan in the same month as Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in North America and Europe, but later pushed back to Summer 2013. It was later announced that the North American and European releases would be on March 19 and 22 respectively. A demo of the game was released on February 21, 2013.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate re-introduces the underwater combat that was left out of the Japanese-only sequel to Tri, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. This is the first time that the Gunlance, Bow, Hunting Horn and Dual Blades have been featured in underwater combat. The game also reintroduces G-Rank, a level above high rank that features a new set of quests, harder monsters and improved weapons and armor. It was the first time G-Rank was present in a Monster Hunter game since Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, and the first time for a third generation Monster Hunter title. It also feature a different online hub, which is an island district named “Tanzia Port”. Unlike the “Loc Lac City” from Tri, it doesn’t require the player to be online to access the hub, allowing players to complete the quests on their own.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a 2025 action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom. A successor to Monster Hunter: World (2018), the game released worldwide for Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S, with support for cross-platform play, on February 28, 2025.

As with other Monster Hunter games, Wilds has the player control a Hunter that is part of a guild assigned to explore the Forbidden Lands, a nearly uninhabitable area with multiple biomes and dangerous storms. During their exploration, the Hunter must fight large monsters that threaten their group, either by killing or capturing them. The Hunter then can collect resources from their victories, as well as from gathering in the field, to synthesize new weapons and armor with better attributes that allows the Hunter to fight stronger monsters. The player has an option of using fourteen different weapon types in combat, each with different combat maneuvers. New to Wilds is the ability to carry up to two weapons into the field using their mounted bird-like Seikrets to swap gear, the ability to set up pop-up camps within the game’s open world to create a more seamless hunting experience, and a wound system that allows the player to target weak points on a monster to inflict more damage.

  1. MH3U is peak. I come from MH1 being my first back when window tax was still around. Played every game, especially MHFU on PSP in the back of the school class with friends, MH3U is the best.

  2. Niblesnarf is basically the Gobals land cousin. Just as annoying but on land

Love the content, the nostalgia is real for me watching this

  3. For anyone trying this game. You can place a barrel bomb during nibblesnarfs charge. He will eat it and become stunned. You can then fish him out of the ground and attack his soft underbelly.

  4. 3U is a fascinating entry, because its a G-Rank expansion of tri, but also has nearly all unique monster from portable third, and as such acts as a bit of a G-Rank game for that title to.
And while its not hated, its not exactly the most popular expansion. Usually the expansions where allways the most popular entrys, FU, 4U, XX, Iceborne. Only MHG, and 3U are left behind. Instead portable 3. seemns to be the most popular title of the generation.
9:00 he eats bombs and you can fish him out. Its a very gimmicky fight, but at least its shorter if you know what to do.

  5. Village alatreon is not G rakn alatreon, it's high rank but it is way stronger than your average monster in high rank, the actual G rank alatreon is an event quest that gives you ll the upgrades for the weapons and a G rnk armor

  6. Honestly yeah plesioth in 3U is not bad and actually pretty good. Specially since he can't camp you from the water as well as it's main body is closer to the ground so it's easier to hit on land.

  7. 3rd gen was peak, i played Tri on the wii, went from a hate to love relationship., then bought 3U on 3DS and then got a wiiU to play monster hunter 3U on the big screen and with online.
and while i liked 4U, my interest in the franchise have slowed down considerably since 3rd gen. i really miss underwater combat and the slower pace of older games.

  8. Wow. You are a gen 1 player. Wow. You play guitar. I'm really impressed. You're really special, aren't you? Please let me stand here in awe, so that I can let all this personality sink in.

  9. The amount of disrespect tri/3u gets. Literally all my favorite monsters are locked to those games. My king great jaggi 👑 gigginox, that fucking parrot that’s designed to give you ptsd, Goubl 😭 ceadeus the best elder dragon fight… why capcom why my babies 😭😭😭

  10. Also I just love barioth, such a rewarding fight for them being a formidable opponent at first and gradually gets easier as you break there parts.

  11. A Bionicle reference in a Monster Hunter video in 2025 was something I wasn't expecting, but all here for! Also, watching you play 4U is going to be fun
