Do you think Makeine takes place in the After Colony timeline or the Universal Century timeline?
(Good video Allen, loved the ED discussion, would've been down just for 10 minutes of that)
Loved this show, becuase to me it's the flip side of Madiens of a Savage Season. Both are about real (or as real as they can get) teens ad their ventures into dating and the relationship world. But where Madiens has the main girls get the good ending (neglecting the one in love with her teacher, but she at least gets a positive and adult response) but still having to work through what that means, Makeine has the messy bad side and cranks it up to "11" so to say. But the characters are adult enough in their young lives to understand that "this is just what happens sometimes, and I have to live, learn, and move on" and all 3 of our losing heroines confront their own feelings and actually get closure from their crushes that, they at least know and the love itself is no longer unrequited. Its not resipricated, but its know and accepted at face value and dealt with in a healthy and kind manner.

I can see 3 endings to it it’s rather all the girls get a happy ending while nukumizu ends up with no one as he doesn’t believe in high school relationships or nukumizu ends up dating one of the girls.
This in anime is peak it even made me read its light novel right after watching it and now Im rereading it for 2nd time but now from the beggining
