All right welcome back everyone I’m here for more 2023 treasure hunting I must have really good no Revenge R season two yeah I watched the first season of this show I was intrigued by the primaries and that premise was really also what made me continue watching it to the end

If you’re not aware I’m sure you’ve seen the first season if you’re watching this but the premise was essentially main guy when he was younger was fat asked main girl out or something to that effect got rejected because he was fat and his he is now older he’s a teenager

He’s worked out made himself super fit and attractive which fair play to him but his plan now is to get revenge on the Girl by making her fall in love with him having her ask him out and him summarily rejecting her in a similarly cold and heartless fashion

As she did in the past and I liked that idea I like the idea of a character driven by Revenge within a romantic story it quickly became apparent that a I don’t like either of these characters I don’t really like the main character and I don’t like the main girl so to some

Extent I was watching it really hoping that either his revenge would go up well so that the girl would suffer or that his revenge would go very poorly and he would suffer but by the end of the season I could see where it was going I

Sort of knew it was gonna go there anyway but it very much seems like it’s working towards oh her rejection of him wasn’t actually rejected he just misinterpreted things and the two of them are probably going to reconcile or make up and become a thing which doesn’t really fit what I want the

Story to do uh so yeah we’ll see how things go I may end up just dropping it because it’s not really going in the direction that I wanted to go it’s going in a direction that I don’t particularly care for uh not from any like particular writing or

Perspective or anything like that I don’t have any necessarily critique of where the story is going it’s just not really interesting to me because I don’t particularly like the characters that’s most of what I remember the other thing I remember is that there’s uh another boy in the cast who’s kind of cute

Um in like a feminine way yeah not quite in a way though I would describe as a femboy you know Fanboy that needs to be a bit more of a deliberate attempt to appear feminine whereas he’s more of a tom girl somebody who just is naturally a bit more feminine

Who I think is possibly the only actor I liked in the series so yes I don’t necessarily have high hopes for this um silverlink is doing the production which I’m pretty sure is the same Studio as the first time yep I I think most of the staff are appraising their roles so not

Gonna talk much about that have a quick look at the visuals uh one moment push one switch this one is the teaser visual it’s him and Main girl and then there’s this third girl standing on a white background with the r behind it’s a teaser visual it just shows the characters really

That’s fine whatever nothing really to say about that other than the fact that I really don’t remember the blonde girl at all I feel like she was present in the first series but as I say very little memory of what actually happened in the the series

And then we have the key visual which has more characters in a slightly more interesting pose uh I think we’ve seen most of these characters I don’t remember a girl with an eye patch and I don’t remember this person in front lying down who I believe is also a girl

Based on the fact they’re wearing a skirt at least I think so I quite like the lighting in that key official you know we’ve got the streaks of light coming down diagonally uh and they’re against this interesting like concrete block wall I don’t think it’s actually concrete

Blocks but yeah some sort of block wall with Ivy growing up it it’s it’s quite a nice visual it’s almost like they’re posing for a for a picture which maybe actually what’s happening here we’ll see um all right let’s say I don’t particularly think I’m going to enjoy this I watched

The first season but by the end I was kind of about it so I don’t know we’ll see if it can try and draw me back in or if I’ll just be utterly bored by it so terrific on YouTube patreon Pitch version in the description down below if

Each other but unless really doesn’t seem to remember Yoshino but in the past I don’t know maybe he does I I don’t remember buying Opie oh she took her hair things out braids that’s the word and holding how lewd foreign not a very good one well here they are in France hahaha There she is oh yeah this guy was also a character who I don’t remember very well kissing oh yeah didn’t they do like a kiss thing at the end of last episode no last episode last season laughs hahaha why would I not say it out loud though oh French

Just play into your plan come on oh but speaking in the simple Japanese it doesn’t scattered for the kiss now Chico I couldn’t the hunger Joe’s the destiny a good dream to follow using the guitar very old school don’t give that Vibe at all sounds great to me

Well this is a great opportunity then yes a stroke that ego framing no there are plenty of other kids around though you could perhaps put one of your friends in contact with her that would be nice to do but I guess not um foreign excite them other japanophiles perhaps ah security no Mafia

I put our security Maybe this will be a brother foreign well that will progress the plot I guess but that is not good looking water oh yes maid was trying to help him foreign water is distractingly bad Hotel seems it foreign I don’t remember if this was something I already knew

Yes I I think I do remember him doing it or her doing it for money [Laughter] that’s awful foreign too fast-paced so exactly what this show is doing it’s really clear both agreeing yes but but no the classic black foreign actress is doing a good job yep

You two have no experience in this [ __ ] you’re also biscuit purely up your manga experience yeah that’s what I’m here for suffering close best the optimal example oh it’s jeopardies the struggling to Express their feelings foreign Ty keeping him away yep the fourth grade you’re going at least oh dear

God even that water doesn’t look very good the flat Ed doesn’t do anything for me foreign feelings about the show uh I hate most of the characters I want to see them suffer which is part of the reason why I watched the show but

As a as I said by the end of last season and continue on this season it seems clear that the narrative is pushing the two of them into a proper romantic relationship which is probably correct for them because they’re both probably misinterpreting things which happened when they were young but um

Yeah I don’t really care I’m the only character I really like is um and he’s in his own little unrequired love situation there foreign I’m gonna pause quickly so I can move the anime over right let’s die I’m gonna go through this relatively quickly because there’s not really much that I want to

Say and it’s a little late so I want to get to bed relatively soon so I don’t think I’ll say that’s off the bat is the art animation doesn’t feel very good remember if the first Seasons felt good but there’s a number of Parts like this frame for instance which

Does not look good his face is incredibly Derpy there are various bits like that in there frame by frame this uh I want to go the other way that’s actually a held frame so that’s like a keyframe the in-between frames are I would say even slightly worse

Like the proportions of his face look all weird quite often and body movements as well often feel a bit off yeah just General visual effects are not very good say as I mentioned before I didn’t remember much about the story or the characters uh and the show

Oh this episode did not do much in any way to sort of bring me back into the story slowly just sort of drops you in right where the left off in fact it’s sort like a the next art where they left off because I I think they ended off with like a council

Festival or something or was it a trip one of those two I don’t remember you know a school trip to France being at all mentioned last season so it just kind of dropped into that p is fine whatever they go to France uh because you’re as excited foreign

Who has rejected her apparently I say don’t remember that happening but apparently but it would make sense Mass Dominicans guys Revenge plan to to think about that’s more important than Romance hmm and we’ve got this person who we see later is a girl as I say I don’t really remember if that’s

Something we knew before we see them with a sarashi wrap around their chest which is clear indication that this person is a female pertaining to be a man well sir actually doesn’t necessarily mean proteins to be a man it’s just binding of the chest but in this case it’s clear

That they are pretending to be a man and it seems that they’re doing it for money to help presumably their family specifically perhaps a little sister yeah this this Frame also looks bad his facial expression and his arm positioning just it’s just not good yeah a French girl

And what I will say is the French girls voice actress does an excellent job of it I’m going to quickly look up to see if it says who that is on any list so I think I know a person I just don’t know their name you know I mean um

Miku Ito yes who is well known for voicing characters like Congo from kentai collections uh so Karen from Mosaic you know various um various English speaking people or people of English descent and doing a deliberately strong accent in their Japanese because I’m pretty sure that’s the same person

I hope so but Internet is slow so maybe not but I’m gonna assume so let’s continue she’s obsessed with manga but is bad at the Japanese frame of mind I guess you could say yeah she doesn’t really understand it despite the fact that she’s read a lot

Which is a little bit in congress with reality I mean there are people like that but generally speaking if you read enough of a piece of all right style of media rather you get a bit of a feel for how things work within that media even if they don’t exactly fit your culture

But you know it’s whatever like what she’s drawn seems a bit more like a historical action thing but it’s supposed to be a romantic comedy ultimately her character is essentially just a bit of comic relief whilst at the same time force coming to together just right even though they were going

To be together anyway um so I don’t know maybe she’s gonna end up being Another Love rival which might pressure ackee into doing more stuff all right future time to make his room move and failing and being exactly the sort of example that um French girl would need

Who would be excellent for her because he very much embodies that Spirit of just not quite being confident enough to say stuff out loud the joke about French girl’s older brother being like a Mafia Boss is doesn’t really land for me and it feels unnecessary especially because as I said

They could have both just said we can’t do it because we’re busy but we can I’ll put you in contact with our friends maybe some of them would be willing to but whatever we get water on the boat here which is bad it’s like the actual water bit is clearly CG but uh

Where you sitting against the bow of the ship are 2D and animated different frame rates which makes it look pretty Jack not good the boat is also animated every frame I think along with well it’s not really animated but it’s a stationary thing that’s being moved about the screen

But even in these wide shots the war doesn’t really look very good I don’t know what exactly it is I think it is that it feels a bit flat although Canal waters are supposed to be flat um comparatively they’re not supposed to have ways in them which is I guess a bit weird

Because this does have like white water in it which is produced when you know waves have foamy bits at the top uh or when waves crash and they you know the top bits start disintegrating essentially under their own weight or disintegrating as the wave hits into something

So perhaps it’s the amount of white space which makes this look weird to me I don’t know white space White Water yeah blah blah blah fishing is an awful name for that plan because it’s literally like like these basically catfishing happy and um yeah Dane just doesn’t really

Fit I think it’s perhaps meant to be comedic but it’s not classic the Europeans just kiss each other all the time just I mean it’s true from a Japanese perspective but not actually true and certainly not with strangers well at least not on the lips I can very occasionally see people doing

Kiss greetings for people they are meeting for the first time but usually that’s only at like parties which have a sort of fancy feel to them from a specific part of Europe maybe in other parts of Europe there’s a bit more of the the mouth-to-mouth skinship as it were

It’s just not necessary mouth to mouth it can be mouth to cheek that’s another common one um Ari end with a dramatic Twist of Art catfish boys or girl is found out that maid girl whose name I don’t even remember is helping Master Munich which might make it hard for her to keep

Him away from Aki and masamune hmm yeah I don’t I don’t think I’m gonna watch more of this on the channel I might use it to kill time at some point watch it off um off the channel to I don’t think it’s good at all just feel a weird sense of

Yeah I’ve already watched uh a season and an episode Sun could cost fantasy kind of feeling but I’m not gonna subject you guys to it I don’t think this is good at all in fact I think it’s actually backed don’t watch this don’t do what I do well
