Are served with like this very predictable story where you’re like you can see on why the emcee our main character masamuni is doing what he’s doing is that unsure unsurity uh that a knowing that unknowingly you know agreeing to something uh getting something and then not wanting it right

It’s like when you’re a child and you see somebody eating like cookies and cream ice cream or something and you want it and you and and and and and you finally get it because that person that kid whatever gave in because you’re annoying AF you taste a little bit

You’re like I don’t even want it and it’s like yo I’m about to slap a you don’t ever slap a kid so it’s one of those things that that’s exactly what happened here with masamune Kun is like it’s so predictable it’s like oh he got Aki but now he’s like

I don’t know if I want cookies with cream maybe I want maybe I want a little little double fudge chocolate maybe I want just a little bit of plain vanilla you know what I mean he doesn’t know what he wants does he want Church girls

He want Yoshi no does he want Aki he doesn’t effing no and you know part of the way that it’s it’s pointing him in that direction it’s his bodily uh like his bodily functions you know with him busting out with hives and stuff which is really just like some

Fire you you’re gonna be let go so they just begin writing you know they they take aspirations and Inspirations from everything and everything you know everything else in the genre and they just shove plot you know and then I feel like this is what you get it’s like we

Have this unique Revenge story you know and eventually you know he’s gonna get the girl or Something’s Gonna Give You know but we have this unique story with a lot of hilarity and really really funny and you know very unique and and then you know we knew that the second

Season was like okay he’s gonna he’s gonna get his revenge you know maybe that maybe you know one one Universe has him actually getting revenge and getting the girl and getting back at her and then maybe he transitions into you know feeling bad and you know there’s a story

There that could happen the other world is you know it blows up in his face he tells her the truth he gets with her anyways he’s happy you you know another thing is that you know like kind of like what we’re getting here uh but maybe he doesn’t start dating occupant he just

Realizes that she’s not even worth it and he goes with church girl or he goes with Yoshino you know I just feel like there’s so many better ways to have done this but my main thing that it’s missing is that funniness and that comedy like nothing of what I watch is funny

You know it’s taking itself too seriously uh as I’m watching it like I have zero emotion and I think that’s what bothers me the most is like it’s not invoking any emotion in me and if you’re a long time viewer of the Channel Through My Many Many reviews a different anime and

If you’re not my biggest hang up when it comes to anime is is it invoking emotion in me is the media I’m consuming invoking emotion whether that’s anger empathy sympathy um disgust uh you know funny you know uh comedic just is it invoking some kind of

Other stuff and it’s like yeah you know from a simplistic writing standpoint sure I get it sure you know uh and then you have Yoshino kind of waking up to her own feeling sure from a simplistic standpoint sure I get it I keep saying simplistic because it’s like it’s cheap writing

And ah man it’s just so disappointing it’s so disappointing I’m gonna keep watching it yo you know I’m gonna finish it you know I’m gonna see where this goes hopefully he’s real with Aki and just tells her about his revenge story because at this point what the why the F

And then the season ends and I write this off forever and ever watch it again because it I think this this season is so bad you know what really sucks ass is this season so bad is it kind of ruins season one for me a little bit and masamune

Kun’s revenge is one of those anime where I typically do watch every year like as I get bored I just watch you know like I I’ve told you guys before like there’s some anime now that I just watch on a yearly basis you know one of which Spirit Chronicles is coming back
