To be Honest, I'm already knew that the King is a Vassal Hero himself. The only reason he didn't us ethe staff is because the Staff won't work with his selfish attitude. He might be a Jerk, but at least he is not like that Book Fellow.

To any wondering why he never used it during the show it’s because he can’t. He can’t for the same reason Thor could not use his hammer in the first Thor movie. Each weapon has a spirit that deems its wielder worthy or in Trash and Kyo’s case lack there of.

The king who once betrayed Naofumi will become a staff hero, I feel that he is get deserve then get regret this to them closest and Naofumi than her first princess as a traitor and kill her own mother as a queen

I like how she has statues of all the vassel heroes and they purposefully never show the head of the staff hero untill his identity is revealed. Makes the reveal that much more impactfull when you realize that its trash XD

Let's all be honest. Aultcray was never a hero. His initial distrust of Naofumi as soon as the poor soul got there from no fault of his own, automatically taking his daughters false allegations as if they were fact, the fact he spoiled his daughter since her birth, Aultcray is nothing more then the last generations Motoyasu. It's pathetic they made that piece of shit king. He probably took the real hero's credit after they defeated the waves while that coward was pissing his pants hiding behind a goddamn tree

Welcome to Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3! Or as I will be referring to it as…

"The Rising of Finally Making an Attempt to Make the Other 3 Heroes likeable."

Fun Fact (for anime watchers only): Noufumi is the only one of the four heroes, that wasn't summoned in another world the same way other three were. Noufumi was summoned by a book, whereas the others we're killed before they were summoned in different ways. Motoyasu was killed by a nice girl and a yandere girl, because he was cheating on both of them. Itsuki was killed after he was hit by Truck. And then we go to Ren where he was attacked alongside his friend, as he tried to save his friend and was stabbed in the process and died afterwards when the attacker was arrested.

Trash shouldn't judge Naofumi for who or what the previous Shield Hero was!

You know Trash's idea against Naofumi almlst worked since summoning him. Of course he didn't take into account how much of a socipathic idiot hid daughter is, constantly planning around her actions probably lessened his chances of his plan succeeding greatly.

For people who are wondering how Trash fell from being the Staff Hero, it's a mix of being biased and being a stupid dad (both literal and metaphorically).

His sister was allegedly killed by beastmen (specifically white-tiger beastmen), so he immediately hated all beastmen as a result, which also transferred to the country that supported beastmen rights, and further transferred to the Shield Hero since one of the past Shield Heroes supported that country. Then he doted excessively on his first daughter to the point that when she accused a prince from the country he hated for killing their son (ignorant that she manipulated him into it), he automatically took her side and started to spoil her even more than before. It's also implied that the years of peace they had made him complacent and clouded his thinking.

So at some point, his Staff would no longer answer his summons, which further heightened his fear and cowardice, thus why there is currently this incompetent moron sitting on the throne. But he IS still a talented individual, it's just that his current personality and biased thinking has basically nerfed him to the mind of a 10 year old.
