      Y’all are valid to have whatever political opinions y’all might have. However, as someone who has studied world politics at a college level I definitely feel some of the points blue made aren’t as conscious as one might think (this is coming from a moderate). When blue was discussing how “most of the world is ‘ahead’” of the US in progressive or liberal thinking, that idea does not have any factual backing to it. If by “most of the world” blue meant “western europe, USA, and Canada” then maybe. However, most of eastern europe remains very conservative minded. Similarly, the Middle East also remains heavily conservative mostly due to the predominance of Islam. Likewise, many other more developed countries, such as Japan or the UAE, are also heavily conservative, despite what one might think. Or, for example, France, of which the runner up for French President Marine Le Pen during the 2022 election cycle was an openly anti-muslim and anti-immigration nationalist, yet gained ~42% of the popular vote. While I’m not arguing whether this is right or wrong, it is true. Overall, if you all believe the developed world (ie USA, Canada, Western EU, and some of East Asia) are majority left leaning, you’d probably be right. However, for one, just because much of the people you interact with every day share common beliefs, does not mean they are all “correct”. Let’s not forget that putinism (of which blue made several points about not wanting to “end up like Russia”) is a form of socialism, which is based on liberal ideologies.

      People who defend billionaires are cringe. And they only do it because American propaganda makes them believe that they can make that much money as well. But nobody makes that kind of money without exploiting people.

      It's because meta is known to censor media and things happening around the world. People on tiktok were planning to cancel meta because America thinks tiktok is being used to spy on us and the government doesn't like that tiktok doesn't censor media happening around the world.

      Both sides do and say the same things to the other side. "If you don't like it, leave." is rhetoric tossed out by both sides frequently. "We" as a collective whole, have lost the ability to have mutual respect for people who disagree with us. Freedom of speech and diversity of thought are critical to the functioning of a Representative Republic. We need to get to a point where we can actually talk to each other without villainizing each other.

      I will say this America has done a lot for my ancestors and even my family but for me personally as I get closer to my late 20s if I had the money and was financially good enough to leave this country and started new job somewhere else I would do it in a heartbeat

      People have let coffee control their lives. Get enough sleep and exercise and you will not need the caffeine. Also saves you so much money, especially if you buy from coffee shops.
