I love Kanata's play-style. Just parrying anything that she can. She really comes off as cool whenever she does it.

Reminds me of the time a streamer got tutorial-Gundyr's parry windows down first try during his first ever souls game run. The veteran "coaching" him was furious because he was such a natural.
Would be cool to see them rework the Champ to take multiple parries for a riposte, like some bosses in Elden Ring. He's a really fun fight.
Chundyr is a great fight. You fight him corrupted at the beginning, having literally been impaled. And he's easy, your introductory boss to the game, tough enough to beat up a newbie, but nothing complicated. Then you reach Chundyr and you're fighting him at he's supposed to be, then he proceeds to beat the false sense of security out of you.
I love how Gundyr move-canceled into a charge right at the end there, because that's fair =P

Parrying ruins this fight, imho
Pretty cool on Kanata's part. Champion Gundyr is my favorite fight in DS3. His second phase is fast and relentless, and he has so many different follow-ups and flows between attacks depending on how you move. I actually prefer to fight him without parrying because even though he almost never stops attacking, some of his attacks have enough wind-up for you to weave in an attack between your dodges. He's also not afraid to use punches, kicks and shoulder checks, which I think is awesome.
I'm glad Kanata got to experience the same thing every first time DS3 player does.
