  1. Leaving a glowing review for my spiritual director is really easy! I like hanging around him so that some of God's goodness in him rubs off on me!

  2. Jack and Victoria, thank you so much for this format of holy moments. Victory….lol. You two go back and forth with each other like you are the best of best friends or even brother and sister. hmmmm…. Just wanted to reach out finally as I have been viewing all the post and each one has brought some spark to me about thinking of opportunities for holy moments. And this one especially. Jack, I could not, but agree with your choice for 'uncivil' place- internet/social media. I go through this sort of thing. God bless to you both and one day in the universe we will maybe meet up. I am from Media, PA.

  3. Jack and Victoria: With today's Holy Moment, I'd like to give you two a "Glowing Review". I've really enjoyed doing the prompts so far for the "40 Days of Holy Moments". You two are so upbeat, entertaining and encouraging with each one. It is interesting to see what action you took for your prompts as they were different from mine, which gave me more ideas to practice after the official 40 Days of Holy Moments are over. I feel more close to God practicing these positive acts and am hoping my actions will start a chain reaction of kind acts among others. This exercise is a good reminder of how we can follow in Jesus' "foot steps" through simple acts of kindness, understanding and assistance. Thank you for doing this series! You two are awesome people!

  4. Thank you , Jack. I feel that social media is causing so much of the chaos in our country and our lives. I feel that it has such a detrimental effect on our children, as well.

  5. Jack and Victoria, thank you both for the time you’ve spent creating our Holy Moments examples! I look forward to the daily example and the outcome for each❣️. God bless you both❤️❤️

  6. Unholy vs Holy Moment part 2: as I wrote previously, before being called by the Holy Spirit to call my brother and tell him I love him, I wittingly or unwittingly precipitated an unholy moment by misreading a communique, misleading a co-worker based upon what I misread and essentially starting a gossip war. The restaurant business can be a very uncivil place to work to begin with, unkind guests, fighting between shifts, personality clashes etc. The gossip war I started affected one person in particular. My Holy Moment on Saturday was to bring civility back into the sometimes uncivil world of restaurant business: I apologized profusely to the person affected by my actions and as I said before prayed that now that I saw up close and personal the effect of gossip in my workplace that I would never(by the grace of God) be involved in such unholy moments as I have described. I ask for your prayers as well. Thx in advance.

  7. Internet is definitely an uncivil place….Yahoo comments section, facebook posts, oh and You tube……I also will go so far as to say The dollar stores, the malls, fast food restaurants. Am I mentally prepared to take this challenge ….not right now. I'll pass to feed on the Word of God and seek inspiration from the Gospels first. Jesus really needed to channel all His skills leading up to and during Holy Week and the Triduum so reading these passages will remind me how deep to delve into being civil in an uncivil place. As a matter of fact ,now that I think about it I believe this principle has been practiced frequently during our lenten journey…..

  8. Thanks Jack and Victoria for showing us what Holy Moments look like through "Holy Moments Alive!" This Lent has been special because of these videos. I have been trying to do some of the Holy Moments that I have not yet done and it's surprising how many Holy Moments I have done already in my life, and you have made me aware that I have been doing them.

  9. My review for you two:
Thank you for making this my Best Lent Ever! Huge fan and follower of Matthew for years and your daily segment you guys provide in so inspirational and real! Love the banter as well! God bless you both!🙏

  10. I go to a place called Renew and the provide awesome service with a smile and remember you when you come in. So I always go in and tell them that I appreciate their service and also the greeting and smiles I receive from them that makes my day and to let them know they make my day for the great service always you give to me. God bless

  11. Yesterday I felt compelled to call a friend. The last time I spoke to her was New Year's Eve and I had been surprised I hadn't heard anything from her since then. It was a very interesting conversation as she asked me if I saw the pictures of her grandkids that she had sent me and the picture of her newly remodeled kitchen and some personal information about a family member. I had not and actually began scrolling through my test messages to see if I somehow missed them. (I had not) She admitted that she was wondering why I hadn't responded to her about these things. We chatted a bit longer and we joked that she probably had forgotten to hit "send" and she promised to let me know the answer. She called me back within minutes to say that when she tried to resend the message she got an error. Somehow she had been sending the information to "never never land". Obviously she thought I was ghosting her for some reason and we proceded to send terst messages to each other to be certain she had the correct info for me. I ended by telling her I put the family member on our prayer list and if that ever happened to her again she would call me and not just rely on texting. Happy I listened to God.

  12. I think that you both are amazing and truly compliment one another! Thank you for sharing YOUR Holy Moments with us!!🌹💐🌹

  13. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You get a 5 star rating for this series! Jack and Victoria, your genuineness, your joy and your enthusiasm is such a welcome relief and has come at a time when I needed this positivity. I feel energized! Thank you!

  14. Please know that I hit the wrong button and it was dislike.
That is SO FAR from the truth.
    I love these videos!
By far the Best Best Lent Ever!!!

  15. So I did calm and center myself first yesterday , asking God to guide my hands in sharing a message on Yahoo to 3 different people who needed counseling and kind reminders of admonishment when they attempt to post their opinions. Then I slept on it. I waited until today to be fresh ,alert, and calm. I chose an article about the recent school shooting in Tennessee, so it was ripe with negativity and judgment. For me in order to be civil in an uncivil place, a commenter would need to engage in an ongoing conversation with me. I chose 3 so the odds would be likely to get a response. I also chose 3 because their were over 125 comments and this was a fairly new article, way to many negative responses to address them all.
Yes, 1 man did respond back. Yes we are in the middle of an on going conversation. Yes I brought up in the 2nd comment we are each entitled to our opinion. The person he responded to previously had a post based in faith and forgiveness . He didn't swear at the person ,but did name call. He had multiple posts in this article participating in name calling. He knows better ,which is why he didn't curse or he would have been banned. I reminded him all people are entitled to an opinion and to share his without the use of name calling. He responded within 7 min ( I wasn't even done reading and posting to the 2 other people yet. . He did not call me any names ,but avoided my statement to him and responded to the forgiveness factor which should not be extended to(I'm not stooping to the level to supply a word) . So I remained on topic sharing I have faith that this person can create passionate comments ,even negative ones without resorting to a lack of being civil. The comment took about a paragraph, I am summarizing here. Within less than 20 more minutes there are another 5 comments awaiting my response. From those aiding in the defense of the man using the name calling. I will now have a chance to continue practice" being civil in an uncivil place " for the remainder of the day and possibly beyond. I will do so to the best of my ability , trying to role model Jesus responses to others in Gospel accounts. In hopes Jesus will be the face they see ,after all my photo is not posted.

Thank you for sharing your idea and premise Jack! Since I am home there were no situations lacking civility here during the time frame to achieve this Holy Moment so I was motivated to try your idea. I avoid most social media for that very reason. Even putting comments out there everyday on Youtube during Lent for a Dynamic Catholic activity or commenting on a talk given by the parochial vicar of the National Shrine for Divine Mercy can result in unwarranted harsh comments and a lack of civility. However; as Christians and Catholics we are called to be disciples of God . Speaking up ,counseling those in need of a change of point of view, and sharing the Word of God are what we are called to do in the world(among many other things). By the way the persons first name is Jack ,so I will add him to my prayer list in hopes he may have an Illumination of Conscience in regards to his way of speaking and writing. I will include the others who respond to my prayers once I learn their names. Have a day blessed with the graces of God one and all!

  16. Thank you Victoria and Jack for spreading light in our dark world! My youngest daughter, Maeve (10), and I LOVE your videos and Holy Moment prompts! Keep up the great work! With love from Canada!

  17. I have tried this suggestion with my sister-in-law, who consistently sends hateful texts to family members. I wish I had more advise on how to handle these situations. I try to approach it with a holy moment but she never accepts the gesture. Very discouraging & painful for the rest of our family.
