Playing the opening during the final boss fight never fails. This show rocks.
Really loved Chisato and Majima's rivalry. They have deep, philosophical exchange one moment, talk about soda or comic books the next, have awesome gunfight the last. Full package right there.
The last scene is interesting, especially the flashback to the younger Chisato.
I think the message there was that, at that moment, Majima saw the killer instinct the younger Chisato had. Chisato was ready to kill him, and herself along with him. Obviously it didn't pan out (for obvious business reasons) and Chisato lived. I think a second season might try to explore other situations where Chisato is forced to kill someone.
