      Love seeing the Time Timer. I bought two earlier this year. One for my desk and one for the kitchen for the kids to use. It’s so simple and frictionless.

      Using a notebook and fountain pen brings me a lot of joy and much-needed disconnection from the rest of the world.
      The reTerminal, has been tempting me, as its e-ink display offers a nice, distraction-free way to still display useful information dynamically.

      I like my Apple calendar because it sends me reminders (I have terrible time blindness) but my brain needs an actual physical calendar to plan things (so yeah I plan both on my computer and in my planner, not sure this is super productive 😅)

      Is your pen an ball point ink pen? Gel? ?? And what is the nib size? Is it one of those pens that are super smooth with no "grab" on the paper? I prefer some "grab." Thanks.

      I also read from my old kindle or physical book. I can't write them though since they are from the public library. I love the fact I can get books without getting clutter because I will return them to the library hehe. Else I would need a full library at home

      The visual digital calendar is where I've reached a sticking point. As you say the paper calendar on the wall is good for appointments, mapping out kids events and holidays etc but useless for time blocking. My tablet is great for this but then I spend the previous night updating it and the next day never look at it or look at it once in the morning and promptly ignore it for the rest of the day.

      I've tried adding the calendar widget to my phone but again either I never look at it because I'm trying to avoid my phone or when I do it's just noise that my eyes glaze over. I've tried paper desk calendars where you map out your schedule on an hourly basis but the problem with that is if I get sidetracked or something comes up it now feels like I'm playing catch up. I do remember once seeing a suggestion to use mini post it notes so you can move those around but that feels wasteful and messy.

      Digital is best for moving those blocks around as things evolve so I'll dig out an old tablet and see if that works as a dedicated calendar or not. My main qualm with this would be having it on nearly all of the time power wise as it probably doesn't hold a charge for very long and I don't fancy leaving it plugged in all of the time but I also don't want to pay out for a digital calendar so I'll give it a go.
