      I’m not surprised that it happened, but I don’t know exactly how I came to cherish and love this show so much.

      The Izumi sisters were absolutely nuts this episode with the whole plan about getting the two middle schoolers to win.

      Besides setting up the colorful set of explosives at the final stretch and Riko hacking the Makabee Machine from Adatara, there's also the contestant reshuffling done beforehand by Wako according to the manga.

      Since this year's quadrennial race can only be played by those who have seen the hidden flyers/posters, Wako took the opportunity to find every single notice and give them to contestants that are "bound to lose".

      Also, about Wako's partnership with Granny, that's also taken care of. Remember how there was another pair that was beaten up by the latter? She had beef with the two that went unexplained in the anime. Wako suggested that these two aforementioned knuckleheads are joining the race; she would instigate the beef to slow Granny down without even knowing.

      I just need to say, when I first watched this episode, I somehow hadn't yet realized Wako and Riko are related. So at the end of the episode, when my brain was completely mush from how awesome the race was, Wako offhandedly saying Riko is her sister absolutely blew my mind.
