  1. Years ago I was over, by 9 lbs, on Southwest but only had one of my 2 bag limit. Because of packing cubes we were able to move 11 lbs in mere seconds to a carry on we could check. Since I had tote bags stowed in a bag, they served as a replacement for the carry on. The agent said she’d never seen someone be able to move that much weight, regardless!

  2. For some reason I’ve forgotten, probably the shortness of a cruise, we both packed in one suitcase. Then we had an emergency at home and had to fly home. I couldn’t believe the bag weighed less than 50 lb and from a foreign country at that.

  3. You have a useful site. I am 69 and fly 12 – 20 times a year. Do you.use AI for voice? It is good , but I would suggest you have the “voice” change speed or talking 😊 change a couple times. I have subbed and looking forward to more. Aloha

  4. There is no collusion on sizes at least within the United States or Europe at this time. All the airlines set their own requirements for luggage which passengers are required to know. US airlines currently have no weight limit requirements for carry-on or personal items. I have always known the rules and complied with the rules and I am delighted that airlines are cracking down on people that carry on ridiculously sized items and expect to put them in the overhead bins. Unfortunately it never seems to be enforced in the airports and airlines that I fly.

  5. I am so fed up of checking and meeting the requirements and then others turning up blatantly flouting it so it’s about time

  6. why every airline has different guid line or size limitations??? Including wheels make a big difference too. hope carry on makers make carry on with detachable wheels???

  7. 22inch carry on never makes it due to size limitations. due to including wheels always does not fit in those mesure guides at the airport. some times even 20 inch carry on also can not make it. it happens to me few times . please tell all air lines to come with standard rules. only 18 inch or smaller one makes it in few airlines e.g. Spirit airline is the worst airline. law price tickets but they charge money for carry on!!!!!!!

  8. I always check my luggage in and take a small backpack on as a personal item which contains my iPad, earbuds charging cables all in one zipped case ,medication, small cosmetics bag, change of clothing and nightie in a vacuum packing cube and a small cross body bag with my phone, wallet and passport. This means I can wander round the airport hands free once by suitcase is safely away on the carousel. I didn’t even bother with the change of clothing until recently when British Airways lost my checked in luggage for 3 days in Egypt -stranded in winter clothes in Cairo! Since then I’ve taken a change of clothing
