With Stranger Things 5 on the way, Tara Erickson & Andrew Gordon CONTINUE their journey thru the Upside Down giving their Stranger Things Season 3 Episodes 7 & 8 Reaction, Breakdown, Analysis & Review!

Tara Erickson & Andrew Gordon dive into the chilling and cinematic Stranger Things Season 4 Episode 1 in this YouTube Reaction & Review of the global Netflix phenomenon created by the Duffer Brothers.
Set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, Stranger Things follows a group of kids as they face off against terrifying supernatural forces emerging from the mysterious Upside Down. Season 4 picks up six months after the Battle of Starcourt, with the group now separated across different locations, still reeling from the trauma of past events.
Episode 1, “Chapter One: The Hellfire Club,” reintroduces us to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown – Enola Holmes, Godzilla vs. Kong) as she struggles to adapt to life in California without her powers, while Mike (Finn Wolfhard – Ghostbusters: Afterlife, IT), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo – Prank Encounters), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin – Concrete Cowboy), and Max (Sadie Sink – The Whale, Fear Street) continue their lives in Hawkins. Meanwhile, the Hellfire Club D&D group becomes a central part of the high school social dynamic, led by the eccentric Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn – Game of Thrones). Joyce (Winona Ryder – Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands) receives a mysterious package from Russia, hinting that Hopper (David Harbour – Black Widow, Violent Night) may still be alive. One of the most haunting scenes involves cheerleader Chrissy (Grace Van Dien) encountering a monstrous new threat—Vecna—for the first time, setting the terrifying tone for the season.
With darker horror influences, expanded locations, and cinematic scope, Stranger Things 4 kicks off with intense emotional stakes and ominous foreshadowing. From the ‘80s nostalgia to the Hellfire Club, and the first glimpse of Vecna’s psychic terror, this premiere episode is packed with Easter eggs, callbacks, and jaw-dropping moments that fans won’t want to miss.

  1. A lot of people ignore or don't consider the fact that Lucas isn't just a nerd like his friends, but he's also Black, in a small town in the 80s. His situation will always be different to Mike and Dustin's. We saw that with Billy's violent racism. There's nothing wrong with him wanting to do something that he enjoys as a way to make his life at school easier.

  2. I've already watched this Season so at this point I'm just watching because of Andrew shrieking in his chair. 🙂 I know this sounds weird but it's actually very endearing to me.

  3. Man, I forgot how awesome this season is. It just made me feel for pretty much every character (except the teenage-bullies and the douchey highschool-sportsguy)! It's just absolutely mind-melting how good the writing, directing and acting is.
I'm really having high hopes for s5

  4. The Hellfire Club in the X-men is actually based on a real place. It was a club created in England in 1718, it was extremely exclusive for British high society and it was known for its decadence and debauchery and later famous for club members detain for religion. The club was eventually shut down by jealous members of the government that couldn’t get in or found the debauchery occurring there blasphemous so they had the king pass a law that made the club illegal, but you can’t keep a good party down, it returned in 1732.

  5. ive had so much fun reliving these seasons with you rejects. and with 3 months to go til 5 . its the perfect time of hype for season 5. there is such an affinity for the season with me and i cannot wait for you to go all out with the craziness i about to happen ahead of us

  6. Yesss, finally started season 4, so excited. This was for sure one of my favorite seasons so far. Excited for season 5, man, going to be great and crazy seeing how much older everyone will be. The way the demogorgon raises the girl up is so crazy, love that effect so much, you guys are going to love this so much!!

  7. You have no idea how EXCITED I am for Season 4 reactions!!! 🥹Definitely the most insane and best season yet! ❤️

  8. I love that you can hear the clock chimes in previous seasons and this villain says the same words Billy does in season 3 when people are about to be taken over by the Mind Flayer.

  9. Something tells me Andrew got spoiled from googling. He tends to google things a lot. And there is no way you can go unspoiled googling Stranger Things in 2025.

  10. Andrew we get you have knowledge of movies, but you don't need to mention every single movie you've watched and the characters.

    🤦🏻

  11. 19:33 Will being around did nothing. He never stood up for her against her bullies like his friends used to do for each other, even at the expense of becoming the target.

  12. Yes, we get it they look older. Yes there was a 2-3 year gap between seasons. Global Pandemics and Hollywood Writer Strikes would do things like that. Not like it was done by choice

Get over it. Don't make it a comment every thirty seconds here, and in future episodes.

  13. A lot of movie references in this one. My favorite will be the one In a later episode that takes place in a mental hospital which pays homage to one of the greatest psychological thrillers and just movies in general of all time. Cant wait for the infamous dear Billy episode which is one of the greatest episodes in tv and the iconic plot twist in one of the later episodes

  14. Sadie Sinks acting in the film only gets better as you watch each epsiode. Still absolutely absurd that she didn’t get an Emmy nomination when this came out

  15. When they start setting up on February and March 2020 they stopped filming it because of the Covid happen so it happens on March 15 until they start setting up 2021. How do I know because I saw the one of the YouTube videos are doing location of Stranger Things. They realize they’re start setting for season four.
