That was a VERY unexpected ending. I legit thought we were still in flashback mode xD What an incredibly powerful, emotional series. I enjoyed it immensely. But also, probably the most difficult series I’ve watched as well. So well done.

Even though nothing much changed ( Marina scar shows all ) ,but it slightly better then the original one as Marina and Shizuka got each other backs , and abt Azuma we saw a spark in his eye, someone calling him by his first name, indicating that he has started to open up more to people, a little hope, I guess. Fr wow, what a way to show .
No no they just grew up…marina will have the scar no matter what timeline bc she'll get it from her mother, obviously nothing can change about her moms problems so anytime in the future she'll give her daughter the scar anyway, this is kinda a third timeline influenced by takopis happy power, to those three kids he interacted with,their home life didnt change, shizukas parents still left her and marinas mom is still abusive and will give her a scar but bc of takopi the three kids changed, marina stopped mimicking her mom in being violent and stopped bulling shizuka and ofc she didnt put her dog down either,they got closer instead bc of takopis influence that they remember deep down,shizukas bullying stopped and her dog is still with her so she didnt try to take her life and she grew up mentally fine, azuma is now closer with his brother and they fight normally and talk, he isnt obsessed with validation anymore…as we see at the end, both shizuka and marina decided to break the cycle despite their horrible homelife (marinas dad still left and marinas mom still gives her a scar and is still insane,shizukas parents both left her in that horrible home still) but they stayed friends even 6 years later
So freaking Ending damn bro I don't like the ending the memories shouldn't have been erased like what now the timeline we saw don't exist anymore? Tfff whaat
Explanation for Takopi Original Sin
There's three timelines:
First/Original timeline (episode5) :
Marina found Scumball/Takopi in the playground, this was in the highschool after she bullied Shizuka into commiting suicide that luckily failed when the rope snapped, since that time she moved out from the town.
Even after bullying and unsuccessful suicide of Shizuka, Marina parents still got divorced and her mother venting her anger cut her cheek with a broken cup, leaving a scar.
Marina's mother became an alcoholic while taking antidepressants, she regained some sanity after Marina noticed Naoki, but it failed drastically when he dumped her after realizing she was toxic, leading her to attack Marina but being killed in self defense then Marina committed suicide by slitting her throat with the same broken bottle she killed her mother with.
In this timeline Naoki was still under the inferiority complex and didn't talk through with his older brother Junya, trying to help Shizuka after Marina bullied her without much progress.
Scumball/Takopi travelled to Happy Planet, didn't talk with Mother Happy and got his mind wiped before time travel, because he was going to kill Shizuka, something against their planet rules.
Second timeline (episode 1,2,3,4):
Shizuka found a blank slate Takopi after a memory wipe, fed him and although he tried to make her happy, Marina persistence made him kill her with the special camera, breaking it down.
Marina's parents still got divorced after her death.
Naoki after a fight with his brother Junya, settled with accepting his inferiority complex was meaningless as he should be as he is, instead fruitlessly trying to compete with him.
Junya took the blame of killing Marina as his brother was suspected of it.
Shizuka visiting her father who despite having kids, didn't take her after divorce but left to a mother who couldn't have any other job other than prostitution.
Takopi after Shizuka hit him through the head in Tokyo, regained some memories and somehow return to the hometown
Takopi sacrificing his life made the camera work so the kids can have a better life in Thrid timeline
Third timeline (episode 6):
Marina still bullies Shizuka, but through Takopi sacrifice, causing both of the girls to breakdown and forgive each other and didn't make her take Chappy away to the dog pound where he was being put down.
Naoki fought with Junya, they reconciled, he stopped to try to compete with him and take actions with things way over his competences.
Marina and Shizuka both regained feigh memory about Takopi.
Year 2022, Marina's parents still got divorced, she stayed with her mother the same as in timeline #1, her mother cut her cheek with the broken cup leaving a scar.
Marina and Shizuka became friends, they're both dissing each other back and forth in 2022
Moral of the story:
COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY TO ALL PROBLEMS!
Its a good ending due to the fact that even if we have a bad time , talking it out with your friend or someone can make a world brighter during the bad time.
In line with the "Original sin" concept within the title, Takopi sacrificed himself for his anointed ones (like Christ in the flesh) so his spirit of friendship, love, charity can circulate among them (the Holy Spirit).

当然、不満や疑問、理解しえない点は視聴者にもあるかもしれないが、漫画や解説動画があるからね。とにかく素晴らしい。
週刊誌の記事がどこまで翻訳されてるかわかりませんが、記事によるとしずかは腹違いの妹二人を誘拐して監禁し、しばらくして無傷で解放している。
そして父親のしずかに対する仕打ちは週刊誌に暴かれて、世間からバッシングされるという罰を受けている。
