The nurse have the same surename as the guy who got hit during the first hit and run incident. They're probably siblings or cousins. It's mentioned in an earlier episode that the guy from the first episode committed suicide. The full reason, we don't know, but I assume that trying to expose the truth in the first incident, made things extra bad between the guy who got hit and the driver. Something that destroyed his life or future, so he chose to commit suicide because he couldn't take it. In the nurse's eye, who might be related to the guy who killed himself, his suicide was caused by Kobato being unable to dig into the truth. She saw him on the road, saw red and hit him. Now, she can't decide between trying to kill him or not, but if he lives, her crime will be exposed.
