Plot Summary:Wen Xinyue, five months pregnant, suffered a brutal betrayal on the night the Di tribe massacred the palace. Huo Ming’s childhood friend, Qu Siying, orchestrated the invasion, intending for the Di tribesmen to rape and murder Wen Xinyue. In a cruel twist of fate, Qu Siying was mistaken for the general’s wife and suffered the horrific fate she planned for Wen Xinyue. With her dying breath, Qu Siying left a blood-stained letter, framing Wen Xinyue for her own death.

Huo Ming, heartbroken and enraged, believed Wen Xinyue had colluded with the enemy, causing the massacre and Qu Siying’s death. In his fury, he orchestrated events leading to Wen Xinyue’s miscarriage. Overwhelmed by despair, Wen Xinyue perished.

Yet, fate granted Wen Xinyue a second chance – she awakened, reborn on the very day of the Di tribe’s massacre. More shocking still, Huo Ming also awoke, bearing the memories and burning hatred from their past life. In a bitter irony, he remained blinded by Qu Siying’s lies across both lifetimes, once again convinced Wen Xinyue was responsible for his childhood friend death. He burned with hatred for Wen Xinyue, viewing her “selfishness” as the root of all tragedy.

When Wen Xinyue found herself framed once more, Huo Ming’s inner turmoil erupted. He knelt until the jade steps cracked beneath him, pressed his bleeding forehead to the ground, and offered all his lifetime’s military merits – desperate to save her life. But in this life, Wen Xinyue refused him any chance, whether for atonement or further harm. She meticulously faked her death to escape. In her final act, she publicly unveiled the brutal truth of both lifetimes, delivering a fatal blow to Huo Ming.

Learning the truth shattered Huo Ming. Heartbroken and powerless to undo the past, he could only channel his overwhelming remorse and fury into clearing Wen Xinyue’s name and avenging her. Ultimately, before Wen Xinyue’s grave, he ended his tormented life by his own sword.

Meanwhile, Wen Xinyue had long since left the past behind, embracing a new life far from the shadows of old grievances.

  2. Atleast FL's aunt was supportive, The Empress ♥50:59 😂♥ Everyone excluding ML could see that he treats green tea more like his legal wife…. 1:04:27 1:04:53 i loved how FL's aunt and her aunt's maid supported FL and showed ML his own cruel face. 1:07:04 good that she is firm in her decision 👏 👏 I agree with her 1:24:55 here .. 1:36:01 what did he think FL's aunt(Empress) who loves FL so much will let FL suffer? Like him? FUNNY!!! 1:37:40 finally she is free ♥ I loved how her freedom was interpreted through this scene♥ At the end ML died with regrets and FL is living with no regrets. ♥

  3. God these Chinese people lie a lot if you forgive search a person you will be treated like a queen why should she live why dignity everyone has dignity bt you should fight for your relationship

  4. She killed because she was stupid to think you can trust a man if you do't fight for your relationship then why pray innocent just if you're not ready to fight for your relationship bt you should no when to stop

  5. I quite enjoyed this… the aunt was particularly good with her part, and everyone did pretty well… although the 2FL could have done a bit better at the point where she's caught and just wants to brag about how stupid all the men have been. A little too cackling where a slightly creepier edge would have been nice.
    SPOILERS FOLLOW
A good little lesson for the ML on how bad a thing revenge is… the first life round instead of checking any facts he just did the most horrible things to the person he loved but thought was responsible for a terrible crime so as to avenge the poor innocent green tea who had been caught in her own wrongdoing. And then he got a second chance and still didn't stop to think for even two seconds as to why he needed/was given a second chance and why that second chance came after he brutally avenged his houseguest by killing his wife and child and not after his houseguest (I'm going to believe him that he didn't sleep with her yet) was killed. So he could save the houseguest? Why did getting that opportunity require him to kill his unborn child first? So he gets a second chance, and protects the green tea… and yes his subordinates are not very helpful (Vice General Li is clearly having a very bad day so far as his worldview and trust in his superior is going) but even with the narrative turning on its head ML still can't get his head around being wrong and continues to take revenge… even now there's nothing to avenge because the houseguest isn't dead. Revenge is a drug that's blinded him to every big flashing neon sign that says his houseguest is a traitor until the Empress rubs his nose in the stink. He even beats up his bodyguard for saying that General Li isn't dead and doesn't… oh ask any questions. Truth is that he was probably never avenging the 2FL but was avenging his own sense of betrayal against the wife he'd loved but didn't entirely trust. And he doesn't learn, because right to the end his atonement to the FL (supposedly) is to take revenge on an entire tribe of people and then kill himself because there's no one else he can take revenge against but himself. Yes, it's all his fault (not to excuse the green tea but she made him crazy she didn't make him cruel), but the FL said it herself… he was always a fool, and being too much of a fool to course correct when given a do-over is pitiable. He got a second chance but immediately turned it into a layer of hell in which he learnt he'd been wrong twice over and couldn't have back the beautiful life he'd been given and thrown away.
FL on the other hand doesn't take revenge. She could have had him destroyed – simply for walking away from his duty to protect the Crown Prince – but she speaks up for him and just wants a way out of her marriage. Which is not surprising because she may not have been GBd to death this time but she has those memories of the man she loved causing that to happen so… I'm not sure there's any chance of a happy happy ending for her. Maybe a healing one but she'll also never get back the life she was enjoying. She's right that she failed her child (in that she should have kept her teeth clamped together, or at least faked swallowing that pill) and I don't think she'll trust another man well enough to marry and have children. She got a second chance but all she managed to do was escape and hide, and not even save her child. Yes, saving her aunt and cousin was vital to avoid being accused of treason again, but she didn't grow a spine. She stumbled into her husband blindly and then stood and stared at him instead of yelling 'they're chasing me' and running away from him (which would have been sensible). Would he have chased her? Maybe, but green tea's instinct would have been to stop him… since she could suddenly be able to run. It must haunt her at night, but I don't think she'll get another chance either.
This is a fascinatingly tragic story that really doesn't give either of them a second chance – from the point they restart whatever ML did he could only have atoned for his mistakes if FL hadn't remembered the other life. And FL would have had to overcome the very recent extreme trauma of her death, while changing her personality, to be able to save her child. Which leaves me wondering if it was really them getting a second chance or a side-effect of someone, maybe the Emperor, having prayed for the Empress and Crown Prince to survive. Or… they're both being punished.

  6. I mean she was never the standing up for herself type of person so the second life makes sense. She lived out her life quietly and he didn't deserve another chance to make amends. The ML did not suffer at all. The drama kept trying to make us feel sorry for him like no thank you!!

  7. This C-🎥/🎭 has a deeper meaning because the FL had a rebirth and she’s able to discover that it doesn’t matter how many “rebirths” she’s given, she should never ever meet the ML…forget about L O V E, they should never meet🤔

The ML killed her and their unborn child cruelly in her first life and the unborn child in their second life🤔. The ML’s character is written as a monster with no heart and no brain😳. IDK how he became a general🤫

The FL’s character is written as a soft-spoken LADY with too many hearts🤔. She’s basically a “butterfly” living among monsters🤔. She quietly gets her revenge without indulging in conversations with her monsters because there’s no win-win situations with unreasonable close-minded brainless creatures🤔

At the end with the storyteller is telling the heroic actions of the ML, the FL knows it’s a horrible fairytale and refuses to listen🤔. As she walked away, she says to herself that he did everything for his L O V E of the 2FL because she knows from two lifetimes he never loved, cared, valued and trusted her…she no F O O L just a BUTTERFLY with a brain & too many hearts🤔.

In the future, the FL connections are all broken with the ML within all of her rebirths, she’ll never be entangled with the ML because they won’t ever meet…they’re FINISHED🤔

I often wondered why in every “rebirths” the same people keeps staying on the same wheel of life, this C-🎭/🎥 destroyed the WHEEL🤣😂🤣

Some viewers wanted the FL to become loud and vicious in her revenge; however, the writers went with “QUIETLY,” (to truly hear a butterfly, you’ve to listen with both ears), while the monsters (ML & 2FL and his bully team) showed their true colors🤔

    It’s a slow moving 🎥/🎭; however, it’s worth the watch…enjoy!

  8. Es un drama de principio a fin. Buenos actores pero mucho sufrimiento de principio a fin. Estos escritores son masoquistas para revivir situaciones abusivas y dolorosas
