      Cabins I was defending for a while but now it feels like they crapped on FW … The nicest way to say this is… Bringing DVC now seems like gentrifying the simple peaceful nature of the Fort. The charm, history, and the culture is being abruptly changed for tiny home living. I don't think they are specifically bad but a major miss and middle finger to everyone that has built the support for the area.

      Poly absolutely needs a fitness center and arcade. And yes we have to walk all the way over to the GF and use theirs, which IMO, is unacceptable for a deluxe resort. I mean the cash rooms can be $1200 a night at the Poly. There’s an entire unused building at the Poly, a fitness center should be put in there!

      I will add cabins probably will fail if they sniff 2 bedroom prices but curious how they sell these. Can't imagine buying points here unless you really really have to have priority at 11 months.

      In terms of the Reflections property, what do you think about them building 2 and 3 bedroom cabins to expand Fort Wilderness if the cabins sell well?

      I’m not excited . I own at poly for the studio. The 1&2 bedroom will surely be point heavy like riviera and VGF. You’ll have people buying 150 point contracts that’ll be taking the studios that already exist.

      We've been DVC since 2001, buying into WLD Boulder Ridge. We've not been back there since just before the pandemic in 2019, and have not seen the refurb. We opted for a studio this time. What a shame. What a shame. Room theming is so bland, sacrificed by Disney so that they can maximize the number of people per room. There's no table with a chair or two, and drawer storage is minimal. Also, there are no USB ports. That's right NONE! But I have my tech bag with me. Only one bed side table, if you can call it that, and from one side of the bed, you can barely walk to get on it. The only positive, which is an improvement, is the laminate, hardwood flooring. We so loved the WLD Boulder Ridge room theming. And yes, it needed a refresh. But this is not it!! Please do not touch the WLD grand lobby or the iron spike room. Please!! Can't wait to see how they mess with the new Poly tower. BTW – it is very prominent over Seven Seas Lagoon. If not properly themed, it will become an eyesore. We still love Disney, but it's not the same. But then, again, nothing is. 🙂

      I'm a little put off as a Riviera owner. "Restrictions" and making existing resorts to DVC is a money grab. And flooding the market with DVC rooms will devalue DVC .
      Also don't like the new cabins at all, if they were more like the cascade cabins that would have been nice.

      Are the kidani rooms in fair condition? I know they are getting a hard goods soon but I'm going in May 2024 and I'm wondering just how bad they tend to be

      I like the cabin look especially since it does not have the hospital room look like all the new refurbs. My 2 year old son spent 5 days in the hospital every month for two years so I really don’t want to vacation in a room like that. It’s not relaxing at all.

      Rolling overage money into the reserves doesn’t treat each member equally. In theory it will reduce money that is needed for refurbishing resorts closest to the date of overages when the overages are transferred to reserve status. This is when overage money is added to the reserves. I’m not sure how the overages funds are allocated to each resort via the reserve process but if BLT needs a major renovation and reserve money covers part of these costs futures dues may be lower than otherwise needed to cover the costs of the owners at the resort receiving the reserve money. Therefore at the expense of other DVC owners. Interesting change. Good thing one of my home resorts is BLT.

      All DVC should have some dog friendly rooms, it is ridiculous that only these upcoming cabins are the only ones, very true on cost of dog sitting and over 700$ for a week worth of dog sitting for 2 dogs

      This has quickly become one of my favorite channels. Keep it up and I would encourage you guys to continue to vlog MORE, and more consistently add content about all things Disney. More dining or resort reviews would be great. You guys are awesome. Have a very Merry Christmas!

      I feel like the new Poly tower rooms will be a coveted reservation. Unlike Moorea, every one of these lagoon view side rooms will have a direct and completely unobstructed view of the MK castle and nightly fireworks.

      We are watching the recording of the live show and when you start talking about the Monkees, my wife goes, we have found my people honey! DVC and Monkees what more could anyone want….

      Twenty three years of owning BWV…it sickens me to to see these rooms…..I hear myself now…calling housekeeping…."I need as table and chairs"…..

      I was stationed in London and Mickey Dolenz was there doing a show. I went next door to the embassy to get paperwork for a baby I was about to have. The 5 British girls in that office were totally ignoring me as they were sitting on the desks and I was the only one there. All of a sudden they jumped up and pointed at a person behind me, Mickey Dolenz, and told him can they help him. I turned around and he told them not till they helped me. What a nice guy. When he and I were kids he played in a T.V. Show “Circus Boy” and I had a crush on him. When The Monkeys came on I didn’t know he was the same person till I read it. 1978.

      Always love when I hear Wildwood, NJ get a shout out!

      That’s where I live and I must say Beach Club & Boardwalk are really representative of my town and surrounding towns. Great episode. Always love to listen and geek out about DVC.
