You can always tell a European sci fi film by it's illogical plot and little instances of, if not outright anti-Semitism, at least Jewish stereotyping, like the corporate sponsors owned by a guy named Goldstein.
TV mini series from 1980 starring Rock Hudson,based on Ray Bradbury novel Martian Chronicles depicted small number of human settlement on Mars,atmosphere was similar to Earth, unfortunately in the end Earth was destroyed due to Nuclear war.
This film reminds me of the type of film they often spoofed on Mystery Science Theater 3000! I’m sure they were well intentioned in their endeavor to make a sci-fi mystery movie, but they did not have very much cash on hand. You can figure out the rest of the story…🤔
i have a 76 yr old friend.. we talk a lot about this kind of thing.. he mention that mars have humans already living there and all of the people there think that planet earth is already uninhabited or theres no one there anymore.. he done a lot of research about this.. facinating but well i don't know if its true
Mars has a surface atmospheric pressure of less than 1% that of earth yet all the sci fi movies have the astronauts walking around the planet in baggy suits, not blown up like Michelin Man as would be required to survive.
Why is it in most space movies, when an astronaut goes outside to repair or to do some manual work. They're not attached by a tether line for safety and they go drifting off into space.
It's fun to complain, so I'll add my distaste of dumb science factoids, like an alloy that "doesn't exist on Earth and contains a 3rd strand of DNA". Minerals have DNA? News to me.
Writers these days can't write even if they had a gun to their heads. We're past the "cliche" and "trope" timeline, this is just recycled junk. Like a dog that keeps eating its own puke and barfing and eating its own puke and barfing… rinse and repeat.
Uhm… rocks don't have DNA, so it can't be a 'third' strand. It seems to be implied that it's a third component along with the two metals, but you can't make an alloy of metal and organic compound (DNA).
