They look like those cheap animatronics, like the creators try to put too much emotion in the head and face, but the budget ran out, so we got left with this.
But honestly, you can always tell when something is AI generated. It's not hidden well, and something always seems off about the picture. Sure, it might improve, but until then, I don't think it's going anywhere.

AI is amazing and is already showing off more creativity than most big studios. It's the tool that will allow indie artists to create works that put the billionaires to shame for pumping out repetetive dull content.
Seeing artists shitting on AI is ridiculous. You need to accept that it'll be a wonderful tool for art if used right. That said, this is not the right usage.
