The sound is a problem in this drama. It cuts out a lot, especially during the most important scenes, which means so do the subs. 🙄
I was really digging a storyline where the FL is ACTUALLY wrong, (not one where she just gets blamed for everything) and so the ML is justifiably terrible to her and they just have to work through it. But i really don't understand why they didn't spend more time on that instead of their rushed and cobbled together ending.
Aside: The FL has seriously questionable parenting practices. First, she takes the child to a nightclub and just LEAVES her there. Then asks her to go home by herself in the middle of the night. Oh and just FORGETS her daughter's been kidnapped by a pervet the night she gets some sexy lovin' from her old flame. Like girl, WTF? 🤨
I couldnt finish it because this has become too cliche. This use of chicklet is a bit baffling but someone once said the is an element of hate in love and these stories have a lot of hatred. but at the same time the male lead using hatred to be successful is very common. As an aside note: once upon a time hollywood movies were hated on for their representations of women as waif and fragile while being pretty little things for men who basically treat them like a rag doll but Asian drama's take the cake. i know its my fault for watching them but at the same time its seriously like Asia is the only continent actively producing drama's and romance films while the rest are aged out actors who look like they are a 100 years old.
I enjoyed the film but I am annoyed by the dropping of sound and subtitles during the most important moments. Most of the last 15 minutes had no sound or subtitles so I had to guess at what was happening. I never heard anything about their reconciliation, just the last sentence. Also, the music is always so loud that you can’t hear the voices properly. The main characters were both victims of her horrible father’s greed and the young daughter needs some serious discipline because she never does what she’s told to do. More than once her mother got into trouble to save her silly life. Otherwise it was good. Silly at times but still ok.
Weak ending, but otherwise great. The sound, and subs, cuts off a few times but at the end, in the most crucial scene, I had to screenshot the Chinese subtitles and translate them to understand what's happening in the story. It's basically FL telling ML to look after their kid because she thinks he'll take her away, he asks what she's talking about, she's surprised he'll allow her visitation rights, like once a week. He says she can see their daughter every day. The the kid comes in, godmother went to get FL's household registration so I guess they're getting a marriage certificate and starting over as a family.
It's not a bad ending, it just feels so glossed over. Like the whole thing is over in 2 minutes when I was anticipating the confrontation for nearly two hours.
