  1. Clean Vic 👍 Did you get the heavy duty shocks and springs for any particular reason? Ford lowered the towing capacity of the 1998+ panthers to 2000 lbs because of the addition of a Watt's Linkage in the rear to prevent excessive side-to-side motion that comes with a solid rear axle. Some have claimed to tow 5000 lbs (rated for 1992-97 panthers) in their newer cars b ut

  2. I Live in a Free State, Kinda. Mohave County AZ. No Smog Required if you Don't Commute to Phoenix or Tucson on a Regular Basis. Like 3 or more days a week. They are both over 200+ Miles away so I'm in the Sweet Spot! So Glad I Left California! P.S. Love Your Videos Chuck!

  3. In Arizona, I live outside the Phoenix and Tucson emissions testing zones. So I do not have to do an emissions test and therefore can do a 5-year registration. In the testing zone, one can only do a 2-year registration as the emissions test is required every two years. I believe the OBDII test is $19.

  4. I wouldn't necessarily call this a "FREE" state. We HAD smog testing that was implemented in the early 1990's and only lasted until the late 1990's. The state purchased land and built multiple brand new brick and mortar testing facilities in several counties. Smog testing was only required for vehicles that were registered to people who lived in counties with large populations. If you lived out in the sticks, no testing was required. The problem was…. anyone who owned a vehicle that wouldn't pass inspection would just re-register the vehicle at a friend or family members house in the sticks so they were no longer required to get inspected. To make matters worse, many brand new vehicles would not pass inspection…. so they made a law that exempted vehicles 5 years old or newer were not required to get inspected. Well what are you supposed to do with a 6 year old car that wont pass? If it wouldn't pass when it was new, why is it now required to pass inspection when it's 6 years old? Not to mention…. for a $20 dollar bill, you could "BUY" a certificate that says your vehicle passed inspection. Most inspection workers could easily be paid off. The state realized it was a ridiculous system so they shut the program down and sold all the properties and buildings. Most of the old inspection stations are now private repair shops today. HOWEVER, this state has always leaned a certain direction. Things have changed since the late 1990's….. and it now leans even more in that same direction so who knows what the future will bring.

  5. very nice to see, for an german, how they do this in the us.
by us they check more things as by you

  6. Thanks for the video Chuck. I saw a flex fuel badge when that was not an option in 2004. My 07 just hit 143K and the 11 is at 146.5K.

  7. Hey Chuck, NC is kind of a mis mosh not all counties require emissions testing I live in one that is exempt from emissions but must pass a safety inspection. The 2nd case is if the car is 20 years old or older it is not required to be tested only a safety inspection. So I'm covered on both fronts.

  8. Great songs Chuck!
PA currently requires annual safety inspections, but there is legislation in the pipeline to eliminate them.
Emission inspection requirements vary by county.
The rake is perfect with the new rear shocks and springs.

  9. In Poland if car is older then 5 yares must have inspection every year.Inspector will check suspention, lights, turn signals, horn, tires, brakes, rust. Everything. Engine is runnong whole time. If car is very old he will do smoke test.Cost of inspecton less-more 25$. If something is wrong and its not important ( for example crack windshield) driver will have to fix this in two weeks and then another inspection for check is probrm done. If OK another year of driving. I think o dont live in free country.😉 Thank you for trip.

  10. New Mexico is mostly a Free State, only Bernalillo County, Albuquerque requires emmissions checks… So a lot of folks register their cars in Sandoval or Valencia Counties 🙂
Back in the Day, I got tickets on my 1970 GTX for No Emissions sticker… But the requirement was for 1973 and newer cars! Due to me working in Texas and getting tickets in Albuquerque led to 27 Failures to Appear 🤣😂 😀 OH! these tickets were on my Expired NM license, didn't dare give them my Texas Class 8, pre-CDL license 🙂

  11. 2:00 shout to panzer for merging right I've been behind way too many that would merging going 40 & 50 so when I'm on the freeway im going sometimes 50
