  2. Thank you!!!! I wish there was more objective videos like this about more or less spiritual and abstract phemomenona like meditation.

  3. I just want to shout out to IHA and commend the fantastic work you are doing in bringing seemingly obscure knowledge to non scientists in an accessible manner.
One point of caution to meditators though. While it’s useful to know these different scientific explanations, it is important to keep in mind that these are the second person view of a first person experience. As a meditator we have the capacity to have experience (I.e. consciousness) and we have varying experiences (I.e. mental activity). To a scientist this appears as brain waves on an EEG or a FMRI. Both are valid, but the distinction needs to be made. It’s important not to sit down to meditate and then tell yourself “now my thetha waves are likely to begin”. That very analytical approach prevents you from meditating!
Nonetheless, thanks for the video! Great job!

  4. it could be great, to see the physical effects of meditation, i means at the time of meditation people experience the loss of body and called what remaining the so called soul. soul, on which the whole spirituality rely on totally. basically, the whole spirituality is WRONG and this bodylessness phenomena is just a play of brain, and surely not a fact.

  5. it could be great, to see the effects of meditation on the perception of own body , i means at the time of meditation people experience the loss of body and called what remaining the so called soul. soul, on which the whole spirituality rely on totally. basically,is the whole spirituality is WRONG? and this bodylessness phenomena is just a play of brain, and surely not a fact. this question is so so so important to prevent people to get brainwashed via some fucking gurus or leaders, i mean, the mass suicide is due to the belief on soul and hence reincarnation and shit.

  6. Yes, I really agree with your opinion, that meditation is not about religion or philosophy, the point is that we are focused and in a state of full awareness, that is where life and strength are, mindfulness is the answer to all human problems in general, keep breathing and focus

  7. I learned about the brain -meditation interaction twenty some years ago and have been meditating eery since. It can be dramatically transformative when done regularly, and with th guidance of a good teacher.
