Child’s sake and most parents forget what’s right or wrong when it comes to their children. A prime example is Tetsuo himself. He is committing crime after crime because he needs to protect Reika. Cut back to the present, we see Matori slightly losing his grip and Tetsuo using that moment to
Get out of the strangle. Matori says if he dies now then the organization will know Tetsuo killed him and will come after his family. Matori stabs himself with a knife. The police arrive at the door, Tetsuo starts strangling Matori and kills him in panic. I
Kinda felt bad for Matori, I mean I know he wasn’t really a good person but all he was trying to do was avenge his son and most parents would try to do the same. I just don’t think anyone deserves to
Die for loving their children but I can’t say what Tetsuo did was wrong either because Matori wanted to kill Tetsuo’s whole family just for his son so it’s a very complicated subject to talk about. Moving on, we see Tetsuo making a hamster excuse and telling the police that he can’t meet them
Right now. The police tell him not to make so much noise and then leaves. We see Tetsuo doing some cleanup in the apartment. Doi comes to look for Matori and then leaves because he thinks Matori left. Doi calls Kubo to tell him the situation. Kubo tells him to nevermind Matori and head back
To their hideout because he needs to focus on their next task. This part made it very clear that the organization was just using Matori and Nobuto which is very brutal to see because 2 people lost
Their lives and no one really cares. Now I do think they will go after Tetsuo if they find out Matori is dead but that doesn’t change the fact that they don’t care about his well being. Next we see Kasen calling Tetsuo and asking him why he didn’t come home for dinner.
He just tells Kasen to protect Reika. We see Reika and Kasen talking about the incident where she almost drowned and Reika saying how she realized now that Tetsuo always has been looking over her. This was really sweet and it showed that Reika isn’t exactly dumb or
Anything rather she is just childish and it makes sense given her age. Then we see Tetsuo burying Matori in a forest and thinking if there will ever be an end to all this. He then lets out a cry of regrets and frustration in the rain. Then we see him return home and find
Kasen waiting for him. She slaps him because she thought he was gonna die. Tetsuo enters the house and Reika scolds him for making them wait and says he shouldn’t make Kasen worry too much about him. They eat together and we see a montage of Kasen, Tetsuo, and Reika enjoying life. The scene of
Tetsuo crying hit the feels really hard because it was a cry full of many emotions. On one hand it showed his guilt, anger, and regret because he has committed some unforgivable sins and on the other hand it showed his relief and happiness that his family is finally safe for the time being.
At the end we see Tetsuo going to the park with Kasen and Reika. Later we see they’re watching a news report about a typhoon that will hit their region. The typhoon strikes the area where Tetsuo buried Matori. Tetsuo says everything will be fine and gives a scary smile.
So I’m guessing people will discover Matori and more problems will occur for Tetsuo. By the way, that psychotic smile at the very end really gave me chills.. Overall this was a brilliant series with a very unique concept for an anime.
I truly enjoyed every moment of it from start to finish and I wouldn’t give it anything less than a 9 score if the animation was slightly better. There are many unanswered questions left because the manga is still ongoing and I really hope we get a season 2 of this anime.
It’s very unlikely though because this spring season was full of good anime so most people glossed over it without giving it a chance and so it didn’t perform very well. Anyways thanks for watching everyone. If you liked my video and wanna see me make more then
